Reasons to learn about the Sacraments:

-Jesus included children in the kingdom of God

-They remind us of the love that Christians share with one another

-Like baptism, communion is a gift of grace freely offered to everyone, including children.

-Series of lessons on baptism

-Series of lessons on communion

-Songs related to baptism and communion

-Retreats related to baptism and communion

 

Sessions:

-Three sessions on baptism

-Three sessions on communion

-Grades 1-3 curriculum offers three different retreats

-Pastoral involvement at the end of the sections on baptism and communion

-Assumption that participating children have already been baptized

-Assumption that all 1st-3rd graders can read
