Extension Services
Most of our audio and video collection is available for use by patrons throughout the continental United States. Policies governing extension use of these materials are listed below.. 

Audiocassettes and Books 

• Circulation time is 5 weeks. Materials are sent Library Rate unless patron sends money for first class postage.  There is a limit of 10 tapes and 6 books that may be checked out to an extension patron at any one time.

• Tapes and books may be renewed one time if no other patron is waiting for them. 
• There is no charge for this service, but gifts to help support this program are gratefully received. 
• Contact the Extension Librarian to place an order for tapes or books to be mailed to you. If you are a first time patron, please provide your name, address and daytime phone number. 

Videocassettes and Digital Video Discs (DVD)

• Circulation time is 3 weeks. Items are mailed UPS and must be returned via UPS.  These items may not be renewed..

• Videos and DVDs may be reserved up to a year in advance.
• There is a $5.00 shipping charge for mailing one video or DVD.  The second and third items mailed are an additional $1.00 each.
• Patrons must purchase insurance coverage for the replacement cost of the video or DVD if requested by the Extension Office.

• Patrons may check out no more than 3 items or combination of items at one time. 

• Contact the Extension Librarian to place an order for videos or DVDs. If you are a first time patron, please provide your name, address, daytime phone number and e-mail address.

The Media Resource Center is a department at the William Smith Morton Library of the
Union Theological Seminary and Presbyterian School of Christian Education.
